Lauwerzijl
The village of Lauwerzijl is a convenient place to fish. You can do this at the Lauwers, or sail from here to the Reitdiep or Lauwersmeer.
The village Lauwerzijl is an excellent spot for an afternoon’s fishing. Take a seat by the little river De Lauwers, which partly forms the border between the provinces of Groningen and Friesland. From the village, you can also easily sail out onto larger bodies of water. Sail through the Krommerzijlster Riet to the Reitdiep. From there, you can easily sail towards Zoutkamp and, for example, to the Lauwersmeer.
