Schutsluis Middenverlaat
The Middenverlaat (also known as Middelste Verlaat or Middenste Verlaat) is a lock built in Wildervank in the late 17th century.
No peat extraction without locks. This is because the water level must be high to allow the peat boats to pass through. The Middenverlaat lock in Wildervank ensures this. The lock was built in the seventeenth century. Next to the lock stands the Verlaathuis, formerly the lock-keeper’s house.
