Logement de bedstee is a listed building situated on the old mound at Eenrum. It is a unique base from which to go on excursions and explore the Hogeland further. The guesthouse has its own kitchen and a luxurious new bathroom. Upstairs are the bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Downstairs is the living room, where a third person can stay overnight. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and a separate toilet. Local attractions include the most beautiful village in the Netherlands: Winsum, the seal centre in Pieterburen and Doezoo in Leens. The surrounding area is ideal for lovely cycling or boating trips through, for example, Lauwersmeer National Park or the Reitdiep region. The many (wierde) villages, with their beautiful borgen, churches and monuments, are also well worth a visit. You can also explore the Wadden Sea by spending a day on Schiermonnikoog or going on a mudflat walking tour. Or enjoy the view in Noordpolderzijl, the smallest seaport, and, at night, the starry sky, which is still clearly visible here. The many small-scale cultural events are a real surprise. Whether it’s music, art or a performance, there’s something for everyone!
