Wandelgebied de Lethe
During the Batavian-French era in 1797, two defences were constructed in the Lethe area. These were connected by a dyke.

The defences were intended to prevent the enemy from passing through the swamp. Later, they were mainly used to combat smuggling between the Netherlands and Germany. Today, the Lethe is owned by the Forestry Commission and is a small walking area with tree lines, meadows, ditches and various animal species.
