The sculpture was created by artist Christine Chiffrun in 1984, when the recreation area had just been built. The sculpture consists of rectangular metal frames containing horizontal beams in red and brown. Together, they form interesting lines. Both the rectilinearity and the colours refer to the area's origins: the peat bogs with the layers of peat excavated there and the canal and district system. The artwork is placed on a small hill. As a result, it also points to the course of the Pagediep, the stream after which the recreation area is named. In the original language of the region, it was called Poggedaip, which became known as page in Dutch.
