Location
In 2016, Robbert van Barneveld took over Marenland. The shovel went straight into the ground and a new terrace and playground were built. In the summer of 2016, the terrace opened and since then everyone is welcome to come for a drink and lunch.
In 2017, brother Ruud also joined the business and gave the catering business another boost. A new space was created for groups (both for meetings and small parties) and Marenland also started serving dinner in the restaurant and terrace.... Since October 2017, the restaurant has carried the name'De Jongens uit de buurt' referring to Robbert and Ruud who grew up in Winsum (200 metres away).
