Rodeweg 6 / Friesestraatweg 41 - A you to! What was once Groningen's smallest pub is now the city's smallest pizzeria. Recognisable by the coloured lights and the narrow corridor with tables towards the back. The pizzas come from a wood-fired oven, original and above all delicious, from Limoncello Chicken to Pizza Nacho. Drink a Neighbourhood Beer with it or finish with a glass of homemade limoncello.

L'Abbraccio

Jacob van Ruysdaelstraat 2 - As Ryan Paris once sang, "La Dolce Vita." And you'll experience exactly that at L'Abbraccio. This Italian neighbourhood restaurant is in the former Indonesian restaurant De Omhelzing and now proudly bears the Italian translation as its name. It is run by a family from the coastal region around Rimini, and you notice it in everything: warmth, hospitality and unhurried food. From Frutti di Mare with mussels to pizzas with taleggio. Da Carlo

Gedempte Zuiderdiep 36 - If you walk along Gedempte Zuiderdiep, Da Carlo immediately catches your eye with its beautiful Jugendstil façade. Once a "Hollandsche Fruitwinkel" around 1900, later a restaurant since the 1950s. Several pizzerias passed by, but the name Da Carlo - named after the founder of an earlier business - stuck.
