Fun terraces in the province

The terraces are open to visitors again. And that is good news. As soon as the first rays of sunshine appear, 'grabbing a terrace' is perhaps the number one favourite activity of many Dutch people. Groningen is bursting with cosy outdoor cafés. Not only in the city, but also in the province it is great to sit on a terrace in nice weather. Head into the province to unwind. For inspiration, we list a few nice terraces.

Eisseshof | Niehove

A piece of Java, but in our province. Aan tafel at the Eisseshof, you taste the rich flavours of Indonesia. The dishes are prepared with the best meat and vegetables. Everything is organic. And even though the eastern flavour comes from far away, local products are used as much as possible.

De Theefabriek | Houwerzijl

De Theefabriek is a unique combination of a tea museum, atmospheric tea shop and fragrant tea shop. In short: a paradise for true tea lovers. De Theefabriek is located in the former church and pastorie of Houwerzijl, surrounded by a beautiful garden including a terrace where you can enjoy a delicious cup of tea in the sunshine.
