Muntendam village church

The Dorpskerk in Muntendam is the new name of the former Reformed church built in 1840. Besides its beautiful light and spacious interior, this hall church is especially notable for its beautifully restored Van Oeckelen organ.

A visit to the churchyard, where war graves can also be found, is also worthwhile. Since 2024, the church has been owned by Stichting Oude Groninger Kerken. The local committee ensures that activities are organised by and for residents of Muntendam and beyond so that this beautiful piece of heritage is not lost. The Dorpskerk can be visited but also rented for mourning and weddings, concerts, parties, exhibitions, meetings and more. From 1 April to 1 October, you can visit the Dorpskerk on your own from Monday to Saturday.
