De Witte Molen
The current national monument"De Witte Molen) was built in 1892. The mill is equipped with an auger and thus today voluntarily pumps the Glimmen polder.

The windmill overlooks the Noord-Willemskanaal and can still be used for emergency drainage, which does happen on the odd occasion. The sails of the windmill are 18.30 metres long and feature the traditional Dutch self-balancing system.
