Location
Here, visitors have the opportunity to explore the history and development of the Zoutkamp fishing industry. There is also an exhibition that changes annually, each one relating to Zoutkamp, the sea and fishing.
Stap inside the Siegerlida fisherman’s cottage, situated behind the museum, where you’ll be transported back to the days of Zoutkamp and the fishermen of yesteryear. Take a moment to breathe in the scent of fish, tar, wood and diesel, and forget for a while the hustle and bustle of modern life.
A ‘Waddenland’ corner has been set up in the Fisheries Museum shop, where visitors can find comprehensive tourist information about the area. This ranges from cycling and walking routes to information on boat trips, mudflat walking, places to stay and ideas on where to enjoy good food and drink in the region. The opening hours and contact details are the same as those of the Fisheries Museum.

- During the high season (July and August), the museum is also open on Sunday mornings. PLEASE NOTE: closed from November to March.
