Grote Kerk Veendam
In the heart of Veendam stands the Grote Kerk, a beautiful church building that has graced the street scene since 1662 and was extended in 1767. This monumental building breathes history, but is alive and kicking at the same time.
Since 2011, it has been the home base of Protestant Congregation Veendam, formed from the coming together of the Reformed Congregation and the Reformed Church. Here, people come together to celebrate, pause, listen to music and meet each other. This makes the Grote Kerk not only an impressive monument, but also a warm place where faith and community go hand in hand.
