A distinctive feature of the house is the elegant eaves and colourful arches with red and yellow bricks above the ground-floor windows. The house also has a small terrace, from which the lock-keeper could keep a close eye on the lock. Nowadays, the lock-keeper’s house is used solely as a private residence.
