The most special building on the estate is the turret or donjon. It dates from 1472 and was built 'against the will of the city of Groningen'.

Part of the liveliness is that on the grounds or in the adjacent teashop, activities do occasionally take place. You might hear noise from this. The homeowner will inform you about this, should there be activities.
