Kinderboekenhuis Winsum
The KinderBoekenHuis in Winsum houses one of the largest collections of Dutch-language children's and youth books. Some thirty thousand books to read and borrow, and sometimes to buy.
The KinderBoekenHuis in Winsum is a museum, a library, a second-hand children’s bookshop and a meeting place all in one. It is a charity that relies on volunteers and donations of children’s books from across the country. We host temporary exhibitions featuring books from our special collection; we lend out books from the general collection; and we offer duplicate books we receive for sale at a small price. The KinderBoekenHuis now houses one of the largest collections of Dutch-language children’s and young adult books. This makes it a special place of remembrance for young and old alike.
