Village bakery Stoet & Ainvoud

In the middle of Pieterburen stands a cheerful circus wagon. This wagon has been converted into a small village bakery where you can buy organic bread and delicacies.

On the old car park of the seal centre in Pieterburen is a gypsy wagon with "Circus Renz Berlin" in big red letters on the top. However, no circus takes place here. In fact, the old circus wagon now houses Daan Voermans' village bakery Stoet & Ainvoud. The wagon's old furniture has made way for a wood-fired oven in which the most delicious breads are baked every Thursday and Friday. Currant buns, cheese onion rolls, pretzels, they really do bake all kinds of things there. And the range of delicacies is different every week. Another advantage is that the breads are organic, all ingredients are sourced from the region, it doesn't get any more local than that. If you want a loaf, you have to be on time, as they bake about 60 loaves a day and gone = gone.

Stoet & Ainvoud is more than a bakery. One is a member of the partnership 'Feast of Simplicity'. This is a collective of eight social bakeries throughout the Netherlands. Social bakeries not only bake bread, but are also a real part of society. So they also organise other activities where people come together. A bakery with a good story.
