It is very characteristic, old and new elements come together. The cottage (75m2) is completely independent with its own parking space and front door (incl. possibility of contactless check-in). There is an enclosed south-facing and west-facing garden with opportunities to sit outside, but also to pick your own from the edible trees, bushes and herbs. The cottage is suitable for 2 to maximum 4 people and has bathroom with rain shower, a fully-facilitated kitchen, separate toilet, comfortable large sofa and two bedrooms. And you have a view of a horse pasture and it is located right next to the Oldambtmeer. Unfortunately, due to height differences, steep stairs and varying ceiling heights, it is not accessible for people with reduced mobility. The immediate surroundings offer a wide variety of recreational possibilities, such as hiking and cycling, but also all kinds of activities on the water. Take a swim, rent a boat, explore the water on a sup or go ice skating in winter. Besides cycling or walking around the Oldambtmeer, you can go to nature reserve Reiderwolde with its distinctive red watchtower 2 km away from the cottage. In Midwolda (on the other side of the Oldambtmeer), you can go into the woods behind the Ennemaborg. 15.5 km away, you can spot many bird species with a view of the Wadden Sea from De Kiekkaaste in Nieuwe Statenzijl. Or walk the Grain Republic Route (17.9km route from Bad Nieuweschans at 15km). Winschoten is within cycling distance (over the longest cycle bridge in Europe) and Groningen can be visited by car or train. We have many more tips and information available in the cottage.
