A special place has been realised at Place Melkema in Huizinge. That the place is exceptional is already due to the historical appearance of the beautiful head-neck-hull farmhouse with the moat around it.
But now there is a beautiful exhibition space; which, not only because of its location, but also because of its stately interior with thatched-roof barns, gives you a feeling that this work by Huib van der Stelt is perfectly at home here. The painter shows that the Groningen countryside calls for colour. The interplay between abstract and what it 'really' looks like is also a nice consistency. It intrigues.
