For lovers of space and tranquillity. On the Hogeland in Groningen, you can holiday in an atmospheric hall church. The little white church in Zijldijk was built in 1886. Church services were held there until 2009. After that, it was used as a care church. In 2020, most of it was made suitable as a vakantiekerkje for two.
Het vakantiekerkje is fully equipped. There is a cosy seating area made of scaffolding wood. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped. A dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle and filter coffee maker are available. There is also coffee, sugar, milk powder, salt, oil, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, etc. and plenty of tea towels and dishcloths.
The expansive view from the long kitchen table is unique. The bathroom has a rain hand shower, extra toilet and underfloor heating. Here, too, there are plenty of towels and flannels. In the utility room there is a washing machine you can use.

The spacious 1.80 x 2.10 bed is on a small elevation in the church. The bed is already made for you with 2 duvets. The luxury of a box spring with comfortable bedding will enhance the holiday feeling. Sleeping in a church is a special experience.
Het vakantiekerkje is an ideal place to relax. There is a large screen showing digital TV. There are books, magazines, games and leaflets on what to do in the area.
