Cultuurwerkplaats BC47

After BC47's spaces officially met all conditions from October 2016 and could be formally opened in December, BC47 realised a package of performances. The division was simple, BC47 facilitating and initially the MMC Foundation carried the cultural presentations, with BC47 independently operating and initiating its own activities and performances. Since 1 January this year, BC47 has taken over all MMC's activities and, as an art and cultural institution with the efforts of many volunteers and professionals, carries a supporting and, where necessary, initiating function each time. Central is the activating and connecting function of one's own participation in art and cultural forms of expression. By using the Cultuurwerkplaats BC47 as a base and workplace for meetings, rooms for set construction, lighting, image and sound technology, we now have the right tools to develop further. With the use of good insulation, a heat pump and solar panels, we are doing things in a sustainable way. Besides our own productions, we offer a stage to many theatre and music productions and other cultural initiatives from the region, the North and elsewhere in the country. We also host activities by various providers such as Djembé, yoga, music courses and band rehearsals. We also provide meeting space for community groups. Many Magical Moments in the Compagnies.
