Newlyweds Jilke and Gea Marinus stepped into the Bakery in 1985. From one business in Loppersum, it has grown into a company with branches in Appingedam, Uithuizen and three in Groningen. A real family business full of passion for the baking trade.

From start to finish, everything is made in-house. New recipes as well as old favourites. How about ‘Zoetbrood’, a typical product from northern Groningen? Or the ‘Academiepleintje’, which has remained unchanged for almost 150 years. The range clearly reflects the fact that tastes vary, from cakes and biscuits to pastries, chocolates, luxury bread and ‘ordinary’ bread. Thirty-five different varieties – that’s quite a selection.
