Natuurdorp Suyderoogh is a beautifully landscaped park with 220 comfortable, detached country houses on spacious plots by the water or among the trees. It is located in the middle of National Park Lauwersmeer and close to the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site. It is also in the middle of a Dark Sky Park. A unique location where you will find a combination of nature, peace and quiet, and where you can see the Milky Way in cloudless weather.
In the beautiful nature area around Suyderoogh, you will find many birds and a watery landscape. Here, sailors and surfers take to the waters, the bird lover goes out with his binoculars and the adventurer goes mudflat hiking. Park facilities include a swimming pool with toddlers' pool, sauna, a Minishop with freshly baked bread and essential groceries, two telescopes (for a small fee to be rented by guests) and a restaurant with bowling alleys.
