The short wing at the front contained two dwellings, the long wing a room for an unmarried person, an office with cells and stables. The two short wings are connected on the north side by a long wall, creating an enclosed courtyard. In 1986, the long wing on the south side was converted into a state police station. In 1993, the property was sold to private individuals and the police station was converted into two residences. A total of four residences are now in de kazerne. The window panelling has almost completely disappeared. De kazerne are located on the ribbon along Pekeler Hoofddiep and are separated from the public road at the front by a simple yard fence dating from 1936. The yard fence consists of brown-brick piers between which a brown-brick wall covered with yellow brick on top of iron T-profiles.
