Second Thought
Directly above the roundabout in the cycle park at the Main Station hangs a sort of snow globe. A huge one at that, which is even hanging upside down.

Inside the sphere are eleven plexiglass panels that closely resemble the contours of the station building. The LED lighting creates a continuous movement within the sphere. The artwork was designed by Giny Vos. She drew her inspiration from the contrast between the Stadsbalkon and the station building. On the one hand, the modern square lends the monumental station a new allure, but it also obscures part of the station from view. With ‘ Second thought ’, Vos reflects the station, as it were, from top to bottom, thereby connecting the two structures even beneath the ground.
