In the 1920s, America attempted to ban alcohol. Its production, sale and consumption were prohibited nationwide. The result? A complete failure. Secret bars—known as ‘speakeasies’—popped up all over the country, hidden behind bookcases, floor hatches and secret doors, accessible only to those in the know.
When we converted a former storeroom in Groningen into a bar, it was only natural to draw inspiration from the mystique of this iconic era. The result? A unique venue: The Stockroom. Here, we craft the finest cocktails using premium ingredients. Classic cocktails just like in the Roaring Twenties, enriched with a surprising seasonal twist.
