Since 1993, Sjoerd and Anita van Dijk have owned the characteristic monumental building at Torenstraat 2, which houses Café de Brug. After many renovations, both inside and outside, the nostalgic atmosphere is characteristic, the garden and terrace look inviting. Besides houses, Sjoerd also grows the vegetables, potatoes and herbs in his backyard and allotment garden. Anita and Annelies incorporate these products into the menus served. They also work mainly with regional produce from the Middagh-Humsterland region. Eating out at Café de Brug is by reservation only!
