The bed and breakfast is situated in the heart of the Reitdiep Valley. Running alongside the farm is the Oude Diepje, the former shipping route from ‘the mudflats to the city’. The Groninger Landschap organisation works to make the area as suitable as possible for meadow birds. Every year, we are lucky enough to see black-tailed godwits nesting and raising their young. The sky is then filled with birds such as kestrels, goldfinches, lapwings and our regular pair of harriers!
Our flats are equipped with kitchenette, sitting area, bathroom and bedroom. You have your own entrance and private terrace!
The picturesque village of Garnwerd is within walking distance of the Reitdiep. There, you can enjoy a swim or a meal at the old Café Hammingh or the modern Garnwerd aan Zee.
