Graffiti wasbeer Winschoterkade
A mural of a raccoon on Winschoterkade in the city, created by artist Jack Lack.
Whoever thought that raccoons would not live in Groningen's city centre was wrong. Thanks to artist Jack Lack, one now lives on Oosterhaven. The animal does hide itself a bit, but if you don't pay attention you can walk right past it. You will find it at the head of the Winschoterkade, near the blue bench. The painting shows the raccoon holding a ship between its paws, a reference to the harbour nearby. Anyone who wants to spot animals in the city should not miss this painting.
