Old-school soul and jazz trickle out of our speakers and fill the room. Photos of musical legends hang on the walls, and the smoothie menu is full of references to legendary singers and songs. For us, jazz is part of our very being and has therefore taken on a central role within The Smooth Brothers. It reflects an interplay between passion, enjoyment and, above all, improvisation. In jazz, different instruments often come together for a jam session. Nothing is prepared; they simply start playing. The band members have learnt to listen to one another and adapt in order to create a beautiful whole. It’s important that they give each other space for improvisation. This approach makes a jazz band incredibly flexible. At The Smooth Brothers , we also work according to this philosophy. Just as in jazz, we enjoy the organised chaos. Together with our team, we form the band. We have no hierarchy but are all on the same level as everyone else within The Smooth Brothers. Everyone complements the whole and helps us raise the standard of our service. This is achieved, amongst other things, through continuous feedback. We give each other room for improvisation so that everyone can seize their moment to impress the guest. Enthusiasm, passion and discipline are of the utmost importance here.
For us, everything revolves around the guests’ experience.
