It is possible to book various mudflat walking tours with us. Wadlopen Pieterburen is located in Pieterburen, just behind the dike on the Wadden Sea. It is possible to walk the mud flats from here. In the Netherlands, you can go mudflat walking between the mainland and Ameland and Schiermonnikoog, among other places.

What does wadlopen Pieterburen cost?

There are several mudflat walks and mudflat walking packages with varying prices. Our most frequently walked Pieterburen mudflat walk is the 6km wandering trip. This is the simplest tour at 17.50 euros. We also have the longer mudflat walks to the Wadden Islands at 37.50 and 45 euros.

Yes, the mudflat walk to Schiermonnikoog starts from Lauwersoog. After some sailing on the Wadden Sea, the mudflat walk starts on the sandbank Brakzand. How can we go mudflat hiking in Pieterburen?

Because of the moon's gravitational pull on the earth, it ebbs and flows twice a day on our earth. At high tide the water is high and at low tide the water recedes, and in some places it is dry or there is low water. This results in the fact that we can walk across the Wadden Sea at low tide. It varies from day to day when mudflat hiking is possible, depending on the low tides. Sometimes it is at 6 o'clock in the morning and a week later it may be low tide at 4 p.m. in the afternoon.
