Sailing in the Veenkoloniën with the snikke "Dieverdoatsie" from May to October The snikke "Dieverdoatsie", a replica of a Groninger trekschuit, was built in Stadskanaal as a training project between 1987 and 1990. The Dieverdoatsie enhances the offer of tourist activities.

We will tell you about what can be seen along the routes. Stories about peat, canals, canal diggers, shipbuilding, special buildings, etc. Our crew consists of volunteers from the Jatrie and Snikkevaart Foundations.
These foundations aim to keep the ships Jatrie and Dieverdoatsie running and preserved as historical heritage for Drenthe and Groninger Veenkoloniën.
