ACLO Sportcentrum
In the southwest corner of the Zernike Campus are the ACLO sports fields. It is the place for students to play sports.

The ACLO is the umbrella student sports foundation of the University of Groningen (RUG) and Hanze University Groningen (HG). When the foundation was founded in 1945 by the university, they still used the full name 'Academische Centrale voor Lichamelijke Opvoeding', nowadays only the abbreviation is used. Over the years, it has grown into the largest Overkoepelende Studenten Sport Organisatie (OSSO) in the Netherlands. Students at both schools can purchase an ACLO Card and become members of the 50 member associations. With the ACLO Card, students can participate in group lessons, open hours and courses provided by the ACLO, and can book courts and halls freely. Think of a sport and at the ACLO you can do it. Tennis, swimming, basketball, volleyball, lots of things can be done here.
