Garnwerd aan Zee is a unique location for eating and drinking in the province of Groningen. The spacious yet intimate restaurant with excellent cuisine also offers an experience on one of its waterside terraces. At Garnwerd aan Zee, you can dine, have weddings, parties, events and meetings. You can moor at Garnwerd aan Zee's own harbour, with fixed moorings for passers-by, and enjoy a lovely afternoon or evening by the water. The restaurant is not literally by the sea but the name is a tribute to the past when, until 1877, the water flowing past the restaurant still had ebb and flow and it was a busy route sailed by trading and fishing ships.
