In the Hogeland region of Groningen, land and sea meet. In this vast Wadden Sea landscape, you’ll find this unique and welcoming place to stay in a stunning location. At Landgoed Wilgeheerd, anything is possible; go for a walk, hop on a bike or take a boat to explore the varied, ancient mound landscape, visit Groningen or Dokkum, the impressive UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Wadden Sea, or enjoy birdwatching in the Lauwersmeer area or a day trip to Schiermonnikoog. The natural campsite has 11 spacious pitches with electricity for campers with their own tent, small caravan (up to 4.5 m excluding drawbar) or campervan (up to 5 m). There are also two superb glamping facilities: a comfortable safari tent (2–4 people) and a glamping teepee with an outdoor kitchen (2 people). There’s always room for passing walkers and cyclists. The toilet and shower facilities are new, clean and fresh. We have plenty of information about the local area, and the Hogeland region boasts a vibrant cultural calendar packed with small-scale exhibitions, concerts and lovely local markets. You’re very welcome to stay for a short or long break at our little campsite; enjoy the peace and space to clear your head and recharge your batteries!
