Juffer Margarethagasthuis
The Juffer Margaretha Gasthuis was founded as a guesthouse for dependents of the Lutheran community in Groningen. The guest house was named after Margaretha Muller, a daughter of one of the stewards of the Lutherse kerk.

In 1672, the Lutherans received permission to establish their own church building. In the process, they were also given responsibility for the care of their own dependents. The guesthouse is recognisable by the eclectic front building with the swan in the gable end. The Friends of the Lutherse Kerk Groningen Foundation is also located at this address.
