Out and about with the new magazine
Anyone looking to get away for a bit can find plenty of inspiration in Midden-Groningen’s new ‘Ontdek Cultuur’ magazine. It features all the region’s museums, churches, windmills, theatres and other cultural attractions. Combined with no fewer than seven new itineraries, the magazine offers more than enough inspiration for your next day out.
The magazine
Seven new cultural routes have been devised especially for the magazine, allowing you to explore Midden-Groningen on foot, by bike or by boat. For example, the ‘On the trail of Piccardt’ route takes you past all the places where this former lord of the manor lived, worked and is buried. The cycle route ‘Along the most beautiful churches’ crosses almost the entire region, from the lovely little white church in Westerbroek to the Koepelkerk in Sappemeer. The magazine and the routes form part of the Midden-Groningen on the Map’ project, which Marketing Midden-Groningen is able to carry out thanks to a grant from the National Programme for Groningen.
