Discover the Zuidlaardermeer

On the border between Groningen and Drenthe lies the Zuidlaardermeer. A favourite with nature lovers, sun-seekers and sports enthusiasts. There’s plenty to do in and around this lake. Relax on one of the waterside terraces, spend the night in a luxury cottage or hop on a boat and head out onto the water. You might even spot a beaver.

Marina and water sports shop

The Zuidlaarder Meer is a lovely place to go boating, as John Stalman of Allround Watersport near Kropswolde can attest. “In our beautifully situated marina, you can still find true tranquillity. From your boat, you can keep an eye out for beavers, and in summer the white-tailed eagle regularly flies overhead.” Allround Watersport is a luxurious yet friendly marina, and its associated watersports shop boasts the largest range in the north. “Whether you need a special screw, a rubber dinghy or sun loungers – you’ll find it here!”
