On 24 and 25 July 2026, Groningen city centre will transform into one big spectacle. During Red Bull District Ride, the world's best slopestyle mountain bikers will come to the Grote Markt. Expect impressive jumps, technical tricks and an action-packed weekend in the middle of the city.

In the middle of the Grote Markt , a spectacular course full of high starting points, huge ramps and challenging obstacles will appear for the Red Bull District Ride. A special sight in Groningen, where the landscape is normally known for its flat character. During the event, the heart of the city turns into an impressive playing field for world-class freestyle mountain bikers. Red Bull District Ride is part of the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour (FMB), which means that only the world's best riders appear at the start. They compete not only for victory, but also for important points for the international ranking. The judges pay attention to creativity, technique, height and execution where everything revolves around spectacular tricks and perfect runs.
The first women's league
During this edition, there will be an official women's competition for the first time. An important development within the sport, where female riders can also show their skills on this international stage. After the impressive action during the 2022 women's progression session in Nuremberg, this is clearly the moment.
