Zummerbühne
Oostwold - An annually changing show that will descend on the east of Groningen in 2026 with a large-scale musical theatre performance. From 5 August to 6 September, you'll experience a special evening amidst vast fields of grain. A unique experience in a region with a rich agricultural history, once called the granary of Europe. A vast grain field and a story that hits you straight in the heart, De Graanrepubliek tells the story of the fierce battle between farm workers and gentleman farmers.

Province - Gronings Vuur is no ordinary series of theatre performances, but a multi-year cultural project that travels through the province of Groningen from 2022 to 2026. In each municipality, the initiative collects stories from residents around themes such as liveability and climate change. These are incorporated into performances made with, for and about the region. Precisely because of this, Gronings Vuur feels close by. On the agenda, you will see a performance in the Westerkwartier on 20 March and several in Midden-Groningen between 30 May and 6 June.

Winschoten - At this culture house, you'll see Moonlight Motel first and foremost on 16 April. A play by Steyn de Leeuwe. He knows how to seamlessly mix play, poetry and music. This is how he tells the story of a life on the streets. A week later, Fred van Leer comes to De Klinker. He will perform his show Ik weet het eigenlijk niet (I don't really know) on 24 April. The title already gives away that the storyline starts with a lot of ambiguity. Until Fred figures out that he can actually manage just fine and takes his place in the world. Another well-known headline you spot in Winschoten is Eric Corton. He reflects on all people with dementia and their carers. Moving and witty, you will see Pa on Wednesday 13 May. This summer, Het Gelders Productiehuis is showing Adam & Evert on stage. In the evening of 4 June, the stars know how to address recognisable relationship problems in a comical way.

Hoogezand - On Tuesday 17 March, a Cat Smits Company player appears on stage, Dis Order is unusual and intriguing. Character Mia performs a puppet fast and wonders if her counterpart Anna really exists. For an evening of laughter, drop by on 2 April. The energetic Christel de Laat shares her fun with the audience. In Kende da!? she puts her finger razor-sharp on all the sore spots of modern society. 7 April will be one evening with two northern theatre makers. First Katie Pop with her soul-pop music, then the trio LUCY talks about motherhood. All together at Stormram. The duo BRO'S is coming to Hoogezand on 25 April. It promises to be an Absurdist cabaret show. Bromens is cheeky, energetic and almost inimitable.

Veendam - On 28 March, the Opvliegers will go on Safari. The group of friends is going in search of the Big Five in Africa. Not without struggles, of course. The following month in Gross you'll see how Boban Braspenning goes bankrupt. You can see this musical show about super wealth and the tax authorities on 17 April. The Pretpakhuis will appear in Veendam on 7 May to perform Ons Pap wil bij de Revue. This too will be a musical feast - a whirlwind of funny skits, rousing dance and catchy songs. Finally, at The New Good, as the name suggests, you can witness a generation of new creators. You can count on spoken word, dance, theatre, visual arts and music on 4 June.

Delfzijl - De Molenberg has a lot to offer in the near future. On 27 March, cabaret artist Rayen Panday takes to the stage with Grip (try-out). In his new show, he searches for balance between control and letting go, with sharp humour and recognisable stories. Music lovers can catch Her Majesty on 3 April. In Los Angeles City Trip, the band takes you to the West Coast of the 1960s, with classics by The Beach Boys and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, among others. On 11 April, You, Anne brings Anne Frank's story to life with music and diary excerpts. On 25 April, Daniël Lohues can be seen with his theatre tour, full of new songs and well-known songs.
