Train
The city is easily accessible by public transport. From all over the Netherlands, NS trains enter the main station. The NS runs trains to Groningen from Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague, among others. Arriva trains arrive from the region, coming from Leeuwarden, Delfzijl and Veendam, among others. From the monumental main station, you walk past the Groninger Museum Museum straight into the city centre.
Bus
From the province and the districts, you can easily catch the bus to the city centre. Qbuzz drives into the city from all directions and stops at convenient places in the centre. Buses stop at Grote Markt, Zuiderdiep and at Westerhaven, among others. At several hubs you can conveniently change buses and many also stop at the main train station. Unlike the car parks in the city centre, P+R parking is free and you can park here for as long as you like. Then you can very easily catch the special P+R bus to the city centre.
