Camp Zuiderhorn is a charming, small and friendly campsite in the rural Hoogeland region. Zuiderhorn is the name of the area south of the picturesque wierden village of Warffum. The area is characterised by ancient waterways and (listed) farmhouses. Camp Zuiderhorn is situated just outside the village, in the countryside, on one of the watercourses – the Warffumermaar – and next to the Warffumer woods. It is easily accessible by train. Enjoy the stunning, sweeping views. As well as very spacious camping pitches, we rent out five unique cabins (sleeping 2 to 14 people) and the vintage beach cottage, all situated together on the same field. Highly recommended if you’re coming with a group. Or if you enjoy ‘glamping’. Why not spend a nostalgic night in the Blokstee, a spacious log cabin with two box beds! Or opt for the cosy beach cottage, equipped with bathroom facilities and heating. More: a cosy communal area with a kitchen, a fire pit surrounded by benches, a centrally located playground, plenty of free-to-use toys such as go-karts, scooters and trampolines, hut-building, a self-service bar and canoe hire. In the summer, we offer various cultural activities. Your dog is also welcome here. No tourist tax. Cottages and hikers’ huts can also be hired by the night. Free use of the covered communal area with kitchen facilities. Free Wi-Fi. Dogs welcome.
