The Meinardi family has been a household name in Groningen for years. Everyone has probably tried the company’s strawberries or asparagus at some point. The strawberries are grown almost year-round under favourable conditions. Delicious as a snack, on a rusk, mixed into custard or yoghurt, or used in a Meinardi pastry or strawberry tart. The asparagus is available for up to 4 months of the year, from late March to late June. This delicious treat is grown with great attention and care and harvested daily, so it always arrives on your plate wonderfully fresh. But as well as the well-known strawberries and asparagus, Meinardi has much more to offer; amongst other things, they bake their own bread, produce fresh, ready-to-eat meals and make jam. The range is huge, all super fresh and produced responsibly. You can find it all at their two farm shops in Winschoten and Noordbroek. Meinardi s products are always worth a little detour.
