From the campsite, it’s just a short walk to the Ekenstein Estate, which features a petting farm and a playground. Our small, green campsite is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, as well as nature and culture enthusiasts.
Above all, you’ll find peace and quiet here. Just 2 kilometres away lies the centre of the charming little town of Appingedam. Alongside Groningen, this is one of the province’s two medieval towns.
Whether by car, bike, on foot or – from a completely different perspective – by canoe, set out to discover the nature and culture of this region. You’ll be amazed by the many possibilities this area has to offer. Camping Ekenstein is the ideal base for exploring Groningen. If you don’t have your own canoe, you can hire one at the campsite at a reasonable rate.
