Hervormde kerk Ulrum
The village of Ulrum lies on two mounds. On one of these mounds stood the 15th century Asingaborg until 1809. On the other mound is this church. Exactly how old this hall church is is unknown, but it was probably built around 1225. Good sleuths can see from the west side of the church that this was not the first church on this site. Remnants of an older church can still be seen here. The tower of the church dates back to the 15th century. Presumably, the church was once dedicated to St Catherine. This can be seen in the large swinging bell and one of the choir paintings depicting St Catherine.
