Paviljoen Overdiep is situated in a unique location in the centre of the medieval trading town of Appingedam (founded in 1327). The town is known for its hangende keukens, old warehouses, pretty little bridges and various waterways.

Come to Paviljoen Overdiep (Overdaips is the Groningen dialect for: ‘on the other side of the canal’). Here, you can enjoy lunch, dinner, a (networking) drinks reception or a bespoke package with family, friends or colleagues.
The Paviljoen can seat 70 people in the restaurant, 25 in the conservatory, and there’s also space for 100 people on the beautiful waterside terrace.
With a magnificent view of all these historic buildings, this is perhaps the most beautiful spot in Appingedam!

For groups of 10 or more, we offer a range of set menus. Naturally, many other combinations are also possible. These set menus can easily be combined with, for example, a boat trip or a city walk through Appingedam.
Canoe
The beautiful historical town of Appingedam can also be admired from the water with a wonderful trip in a canoe. In just under an hour, you can paddle around beautiful Appingedam and pass, among other things, the famous hangende keukens.
We have a 5 km canoe route in our brochure rack. Feel free to take it with you! It contains a number of sights, information and tips for a possible stop, such as a visit to Museum Stad Appingedam.
