From the campsite you can walk straight to the Ekenstein Estate with its petting zoo and playground. Our small and green campsite is ideally suited to those seeking peace and quiet, nature and culture lovers. Above all, you will find peace and quiet here. Just 2 kilometres away is the centre of the surprising town of Appingedam. Besides Groningen, this is one of the two medieval towns in the province. Explore the nature and culture of this region by car, bicycle, on foot or, from a completely different perspective, by canoe. You will be amazed by the many possibilities this area has to offer. Camping Ekenstein is the ideal starting point for exploring Groningen. If you do not have your own canoe, you can rent one at a favourable rate at the campsite.
