Location
Restaurant 't Ailand is located on the Wadden Sea at the tip of the Harbour. Shore fishermen Jan and Barbara Geertsema serve their own catch and the catch of their colleagues here. You can enjoy fresh gurnard, cod and sea bass. And of course Wild Wad Oysters, shrimps, cockles, straight from the Wad.
The fish is not breaded but fried naturally on the skin and served with home-made chips. For vegetarians and 'fish lovers', the chef likes to conjure up something extra tasty, such as a seitan hachée or a beef stew.
There is a casual homely atmosphere and children are welcome. Dogs are no problem either, as long as they behave. 't Ailand is also the home base for our Wadis trips, and Workshops are held in the fishing workshop.

- In the winter half-year (September to Ascension Day), the kitchen closes after 7pm.

- Accessibility notes: Access to the restaurant has a sloping ramp suitable for wheelchair users. The roof terrace in only accessible via a spiral staircase.
