Don’t forget to look for seals in the Waddenbeach(3 km)! The campsite is open to caravans, tents and camper vans from 1 April to 1 November and there are facilities for groups and hikers, or hire one of various (timber) caravans with shower and toilet and completely furnished (new) chalets. These houses are also suitable for group accommodation, possibly combined with the recreational space. There is a recreational team in summer. The friendly Barkhoorn campsite is located in the magnificent Westerwolde area and is perfect for families with children. The campsite and its surrounding area has plenty to options for those looking for some tranquillity. The Barkhoorn has spacious and green pitches, splendid amenities and various facilities, such as a swimming pool, a recreational pond, a restaurant and snack bar. They have bicycle and canoe hire. During the high season, every day the recreation team ensures a wide range of activities for young children as well as older youth and many sports activities. The breath-taking countryside around the campsite is an attraction in itself, with plenty of options for day excursions.

For people who like to shop is the city of Groningen on a distance of 24 km. In Leek is there a Petting Zoo and estate Nienoord and a carriage museum tour. Also a swimming Castle where. In the city of Groningen you can go karting, Oudwoude in the factory paint balls. The property has 5 bedrooms including 4 top and 2 showers, The rooms are equipped with sinks and tv. The kitchen features an American fridge/freezer and ice cubes machine. Airfryer dishwasher microwave and oven 4 burner gas stove in the living room with dining table lounge and bar enjoy ordering cask beer is possible so you can tap beer. Waterpark de Bloemert is a Landal holiday park, pavilion, boar hire and marina in one. This is the perfect operating base for mooring your boat and enjoying the magnificent surroundings.
