Bar Bistro NOK

Nieuwe Markt 1 – At the top of the Forum, the city’s living room, you’ll find NOK. On the tenth floor, you can enjoy lunch, dinner or a drink with a stunning view over Groningen. The roof terrace is a particularly popular spot to relax on sunny days. On Fridays and Saturdays, the Sunset Sessions add to the atmosphere with music, cocktails and views over the city. On Saturday evenings, DJ Maman and DJ Jayz Koenders round off the evening with summery soundtracks as the sun slowly sets over Groningen.

Block & Barrels

Hoogstraatje 3-5 - In the historic Hoogstraatje, you’ll find Block & Barrels, a restaurant where craftsmanship, local enterprise and tradition take centre stage. As soon as you step inside, you walk past the open kitchen, which is reminiscent of a small butcher’s shop. The restaurant works in partnership with the Smit family of butchers from Groningen and is renowned for its honest, sustainable, high-quality meat. Suikerlaan 10 - Fancy escaping the hustle and bustle of the city centre for a while? At the Suikerterrein you’ll find BOOVN, a rooftop venue with stunning views over Groningen. Kostersgang 32-34 - The roof terrace at Brouwerij Martinus may be a little more simply furnished, but that is precisely what makes this place so charming. Amongst the beer tables, you can enjoy speciality beers from the brewery’s own production in complete tranquillity. Thanks to its sheltered location, you can sit comfortably in the sun even on windy days, with a view of the Forum and the Martinitoren. To reach the terrace, you walk up through de brouwerij, the restaurant and the tasting room, allowing you to immediately experience the character of the beautifully renovated building.

Vismarkt 1 – Who hasn’t heard of this rooftop terrace? When you’re on the Vismarkt , Cappuvino’s rooftop terrace is impossible to miss.
