Who will take the most beautiful wind photo?

Take part in the photo contest by sending in your wind photo from Eems Delta. Think of your favourite spot in (or out of) the wind, a fun experience in the wind or your most beautiful wind region.

The photo contest is closed.

Do you prefer to be blown over by the culture of Appingedam? Do you blow with the wind through rural Loppersum? Share your photo and stand a chance of winning a fresh-wind package consisting of an overnight stay, dinner and a regional produce package for two.

Every week, a selection of the photos submitted will be shown on this page.

Photo competition winners

Thea Kerstholt (Wehe den Hoorn) is the winner of the photo competition at the '24 hours of Wind along in Eemsdelta' campaign. Thea sublimely captured the theme - Eemsdelta.Wind.Always - in one photo. During the storm Corrie that swept over our country at the beginning of this year, Thea finds the balance to resist wind while grasping the horizon. Her prize is a complete '24 hours in Eemsdelta package'; a dinner in de Basiliek (Appingedam), overnight stay in the Eemshotel, the local Groningen route and a regional produce basket.

Kees Komdeur (Roden) wins 2nd prize. With his photo of the footbridge near the beach in Delfzijl with sunrise. Kees won four free tickets to a performance of his choice in theater de Molenberg Delfzijl.

The beautiful tourist photo of the bicycle leaning against the fence near the church in Eenum is by Astrid Bosker (Winsum). She gets the 3rd prize: an introduction to witchcraft at the Wikster of the Wad in Bierum

All prizes were provided free of charge by the entrepreneurs involved.
